city crafter challenge guest spot…

  this week’s challenge is to make a magical box.  I really enjoyed making this cute box.  I used a 12” x 12” sheet of paper, scoring every 4” in both directions.  then, cut off each of the 4 square corners.  now, you have the base and it should look something like this.

 

  for the top, I used a 9 1/2” x 9 1/2” sheet of paper and scored it at 4 1/4” and 8 1/4” in both directions.

 

so, here’s my finished box.  I used simple stories papers, and some seam binding.

here’s the top of the lid with my accordion flower embellishment.

and inside is a cupcake holder made with kelleigh’s template.  the label and sentiment are from papertrey ink.
