edited to answer a lot of email questions and to add ikea countertop links:)
it’s been a week since we started redoing my room. its far from organized but I wanted to show what it looks like now. if you’d like to see what it use to look like, go here.
for whats on tap tuesday, here’s my desk. yep, my desk represents just how much cardmaking got done this week…not much.
the room is full of white cubes from michaels and topped with ikea desktops. the wall cabinets--menards are great for alterables, books, even my cricut and gypsy are in there. my viking embroidery machine in below on the right.
this is my way of photographing my cards. there are lights attached to the bottom of the cabinets, which helps brighten the cards.
I have a large window that floods the room with light most days. my mac is here, my laptop and ipad float all over.
on this end, there is my tv and silhouette. the pink and green cubes below the tv holds all of my clear stamp sets, 6 of them all pti…
****someone asked the size of the countertops---ikea has several different lengths of straight pieces--i have one 69" long and one 79" long piece, i also have 3 smaller sizes-(in my garage),- just in case i want to change the arrangement. the corners are monster big. the edges that butt up to the long pieces are 24" deep, from the corner out 43", and the long sides are 46". corners will hold a lot of equipment.
I attach each stamp sheet to a piece of 4” x 6” cardstock. this system works well for me. the pink and green cubes came from michaels-- i bought these on clearance, and i don't think my michaels has them anymore.
this storage unit came from ikea and holds my brads, dies, chipboard, –tons of embellishments, 7 gypsies drawers and all of my cards magazines.
thanks for looking!

I'm turning green with envy as I type this! What a wonderful room to create! Love all the white!!!!
What a lovely room! I love all the 'white' and the uncluttered feel. Definitely going to take some inspiration from this for my own room! Well done!
This is absolutly perfect. I've been looking for something new to use in my room. Now to start gathering my Michaels coupons! Could you PLEASE post a link of the desk tops that you used? Or just tell us the general size? I'm so excited to get started!
Oh, I love it! I tend to spread out as I craft, so all of that counter space would definitely be put to use. LOL! Thanks so much for sharing your space!
aaaaaaaghh! How did I miss THIS post?! Just saw it when I was browsing Crafty Storage. Your room is GORgeous and is soooooooo you! Your cards and your room ooooze your beautiful personality. Love how clean this space is. Will your quilt squares adorn the walls of this room whe it's done? It seems as though the colours would do perfectly. xx
Hi. I love your room. I'm curious, for the Ikea table tops, did you have to mount anything on the back of the table tops or the wall to keep the work surface steady since the Jetmax cubes don't stick out as far as the table top does? I've been wondering how to add a larger work surface to my Jetmax cubes, I just haven't braved it and tried it out yet. Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful. Love the clean, crisp white look. Your organizational techniques are superb. What an inspiration to me. I am so wanting to change my scraproom around and these photos have me chomping at the bit to do it now. (when I win the next lottery)! I'm sure this is such a relaxing place to go to every day. If you like join me at http://elfinwoman.blogspot.com. I'd love to have your company. P.S. Would you happen to have a button I can grab to direct visitors from my site to yours?
Lovely space...thanks for sharing!
very nice. I wish mine was this large! Great work room.
oh my god what a great space!!!! and you have so much stuff:)
Lynn, this is beyond awesome! I'm so jealous! (I craft at my dining room table, which is the only table in the house, so everything has to be cleaned up in time for dinner)
Those big windows are one of my fave parts of this terrific room. THanks for sharing it!
Lynn, I have creative room envy! (Not really - truly happy for you!) LOVE the windows and how organized you are! LOTS of FAB ideas! When I move, I may lift these ideas - and think of you every time I use my supplies! THX for the pics!
