melissa shared this creative idea—to make a wall hanging, by creating art blocks. there are no rules, just do whatever you love and its so FUN!.
my first square started with a batting square foundation, (about 6”). for the floral 5” square, I used my fav girls paperie paper and sticky backed canvas to make material! here is a video, showing you how to do that.
from there—you just have fun, adding bits and scraps of your favorite things! I love this idea and hope to make 16-20- 5” squares for my hanging.
on my block, in the center of the crocheted flower is a button, I made using my epiphany button maker. its flower is from the same floral paper I used to make the material square
here’s my desk top for this week's whats on tap tuesday. near the bottom, you can see the beginnings of 2 more blocks. when I went junking, I found a large bag of old laces and some is in the upper left hand corner. .
all stamps and button card die are from papertrey, and the “adore” letters are girls paperie. thanks for looking!.
