anything but a card—ribbons-stvabccb05

carolina has a new challenge up.  we were to use a ribbon with a circle or flower—i chose a paper flower.

here’s a close up of the flower…

i punched out 8 sheets of magazine print, crinkled them up, and inked the edges.  a cream brad in the center holds it all together.

the candy bag is made of 2 parts---a cream envelope with the top cut off, and the inner liner is a glassine bag that has been scalloped. i inked the edges of the envelope also.

the sentiment is from warm and wonderful-gina k.  all thats left is a strip of black polka dot paper, and cream ribbon—oh, and the candy, of course!

This is so pretty. I love your flower. I've made a few of those in the past. It's time that I try them again.

Very pretty and yet simple. I love the flower. I have seen these made before and wanted to make some. I have just yet to do so. :)

Beautiful! And I LOVE the flower! I've seen them cut out of tissue but not magazine print. I'm going to try that!
